provides a plethora of databases in a variety of subjects, including
PsychInfo, CINAHL, Business Source Premier, Academic Search Premier,
Health Source, Professional Development Collection, and Sociological
Collection. Access is limited to the College campus and off-campus

Academic OneFile is an excellent source for peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world's leading journals and reference sources, with coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subject.
Expanded Academic ASAP includes
information on: Astronomy, Religion, Law, History, Psychology,
Humanities, Current Events, Sociology, Communications and the
General Sciences.
Health Reference Center provides articles on: Fitness,
Pregnancy, Medicine, Nutrition, Diseases, Public Health & Safety,
Alcohol and Drug abuse, HMOs, Prescription Drugs, etc
JSTOR
is a database of the back issues of core journals in the humanities,
social sciences and sciences. The gap between the most recently
published issue of any journal and the date of the most recent
issue available in JSTOR is from 2 to 5 years. There are now 117
titles accessible in the JSTOR collection.
KCTCS
Library Catalog is the
on-line catalog to search for books and audio-visual materials
located
in the College Library. Holdings are identified by WKCTC locations.
Kentucky
Virtual Library (KyVL) databases
are for Kentucky citizens and Kentucky institutions' students/faculty.
These users are authorized to use databases because they are associated
with one of the KYVL participating libraries. Anyone may use
the databases while in the library but must have a library card
to obtain the ID/Password for remote access.
Thomson
Micromedex provides detailed information on 2,300 drugs.
It can also simultaneously check up to 128 drug ingredients
for interactions and contains direct links to in-depth information
on drugs, toxicology, diseases, alternative medicine, and
patient education. For use primarily by nursing students.
netLibrary
(e-Books) provides access to a 49,000+ collection of electronic
books, or e-books. A variety of subjects are covered,
from Engineering to Economics to American Literature. User
accounts must be created on the College campus. After a
user account
is created, one may access netLibrary (e-Books) from any
Internet connection.
Proquest Direct
provides online access to information in thousands of different
journals, periodicals, dissertations, newspapers, and magazines.

Current Issues: Reference Shelf Plus is a professionally created database that covers a wide variety of current issues relevant in today's world, including social, scientific, health, political, and global issues. The visual, infographic interface provides for a selection of topics, or researchers can choose from an alphabetical topic list.
Biography Reference Bank contains biographical information on approximately half a million people, from antiquity to the present, along with thousands of images.
The biographies are searchable by name, profession, title, place of origin, gender, race/ethnicity, titles of works, date of birth, date of death, keyword, and presence of images.
